Anna Siebert
Anna is a dual-registered somatic psychotherapist (PACFA Clinical Member; ACA Level 4) who specialises in trauma and women’s wellbeing. With a deep understanding of the human nervous system, she brings a holistic and compassionate approach to navigating trauma.
Her areas of interest are grief, trauma, pregnancy, birth, postpartum, perimenopause, relationships, and complex trauma. Many of her clients have tried everything but are still looking for that missing piece – often the somatic approach is what brings their many years of healing together.
Anna’s work focuses on somatic trauma resolution, nervous system regulation, stress management, embodiment, anxiety and depression treatment, and decolonial and ancestral healing practices.
She has trained extensively in trauma and somatic approaches, assists regularly at Somatic Experiencing trainings, offers trainings on burnout prevention and wellbeing for midwives and birth workers, and provides clinical supervision for ACA registered counsellors.
As Director of Soma, Anna’s books are closed due to administrative demands. However, if you are experiencing trauma and need support, please contact the clinic as there may be flexibility.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long are the appointments?
Each of our therapists have a different length of time due to their different practices. Please check our booking system for the length of time required for an initial consult.
How many sessions will I need?
How long is a piece of string? This question depends on so many things, including your history, resources, challenges, goals, personality, and preference for therapy format (eg 1-1, intensives, group work). However, at Soma we believe you should have agency over your therapy. This means we collaboratively set intentions with you that help you reach your therapy goals, and you aren’t locked into minimum or maximum sessions.
Hard truth? It probably took decades for you to get to where you’re at now, so learning a new way of being will take time and you should expect a minimum of 10 sessions, depending on your presentation.
Which therapist should I see?
Well, firstly, we encourage you to go with your gut. Finding the right person is just as important as finding the right approach.
Second, we invite you to consider your goals and situation. Do you need Medicare rebates? Are you looking for positive psychology help? Have you been seeking more of a somatic approach? Do you need space to talk it out? Do you have a strong trauma history that is driving your current situation?
If you’re still not sure, please feel free to call the clinic and chat to one of our team. We’re here to help.
Do you offer rebates?
Our psychologist Bec is eligible for Medicare rebates with a mental health care plan, as well as some private health subsidies (please check with your provider).
Anna is eligible for private health rebates, however please check whether your cover includes counselling or mental health.
Currently in Australia Medicare does not apply to counsellors, which means you cannot use your mental health care plan to see Anna, Arielle, or Skye. However, most counsellor fees are less than psychologists fees, meaning the out-of-pocket expense to you is usually comparable or less, despite offering a specialised service for your needs.
At Soma we don’t believe that mental health care should be out of reach, so if you’re in financial difficulty, please reach out for a confidential chat with out team.
Sliding scale can be available for extenuating circumstances, for some of our practitioners.
What is your cancellation policy?
Soma requires 24 business hours for a cancellation to avoid full payment. When booking your appointment, please honour your commitment to yourself and offer respect for your therapist’s calendar. This also acknowledges the clients who could have used that space, who have also missed out.
