Kate Dillon

Lomilomi & Ka Huna Massage | Womb Healing Massage | Transforming Touch® | Closing the Bones

Kate works at the intersection of bodywork and feminine embodiment, bringing a deeply heart-centred, spiritually informed approach to every session. Her work invites you to slow down, drop into your body, and reconnect with the wisdom that already lives within you.

Her signature offering is Lomilomi and Ka Huna massage, a flowing, ocean-like style of Hawaiian bodywork that works the whole body with long, continuous strokes, releasing tension while creating a profound sense of being held and nurtured. Clients often describe it as unlike anything they’ve experienced before.

Kate also offers Womb Healing Massage for menstrual and fertility health, Transforming Touch® for nervous system regulation and somatic healing (available in person and online), and Closing the Bones — a ceremonial postnatal or life-transition ritual rooted in traditional rebozo practice.

Kate is available Wednesday evenings and the last Saturday of each month.

Lisa Braevanov

Womb Hara Massage | Yoni Steaming

Lisa’s work is rooted in the feminine arts, offering deeply restorative, womb-centred treatments that honour the body as sacred. Her approach creates a space of safety, nourishment, and genuine presence, where stored tension and trauma can begin to release.

Her Womb Hara Massage is a luxurious 90-minute treatment focusing on the abdomen, lower back, and pelvis. It supports reproductive health, hormonal balance, and a deeper connection to your womb space. Her Yoni Steaming sessions draw on traditional herbal practice to support menstrual health and postpartum recovery.

Lisa has availability on Fridays.

Natalia Rusanov

Remedial Massage | Shiatsu | Lymphatic Drainage | Oncology Massage | Pregnancy Massage | Reiki

Natalia brings one of the broadest and most clinically sophisticated massage offerings in Canberra. She combines her training as both an acupuncturist and massage therapist to provide genuinely integrative, whole-body care.

Whether you’re managing chronic pain, recovering from surgery or illness, navigating pregnancy, or supporting your body through cancer treatment, Natalia has the specialist training and experience to meet you where you are. Her sessions are thoughtful, adaptive, and always tailored to what your body actually needs in the room on that day.

Her modalities include acupuncture, remedial massage for muscular and structural issues, shiatsu for energy flow and nervous system support, manual lymphatic drainage for immune health and post-surgical recovery, oncology massage for clients living with or beyond cancer, pregnancy massage, and reiki.

Natalia has availability on Tuesdays.

Whatever brings you here, whether it's pain, exhaustion, a longing to feel at home in your body, or something you can't quite name, there is a practitioner and a modality at Soma that can help.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which massage therapist should I choose?

It depends on what you’re looking for. If you’re after clinical or remedial work (injury, chronic pain, lymphatic support, pregnancy care, or oncology), Natalia is your person. If you’re drawn to womb-centred, feminine or ceremonial bodywork, both Kate and Lisa offer beautiful work in that space with slightly different modalities and lineages. If you’re not sure, reach out and we’ll help you find the right fit.

What is womb massage and is it suitable for me?

Womb massage is an external, non-invasive massage of the abdomen and pelvic area, working with the reproductive and digestive organs to improve circulation, support hormonal balance, and release physical and emotional tension held in the womb space. It can be particularly helpful for period pain, endometriosis, PCOS, fertility support, digestive issues, and trauma held in the pelvis. It is not suitable during active menstruation, pregnancy, or immediately post-surgery. If you have any questions, call the clinic and we can organise for you to discuss this with her.

What is Lomilomi massage?

Lomilomi (also known as Ka Huna massage) is a traditional Hawaiian style of bodywork characterised by long, flowing, full-body strokes that mimic the rhythm of the ocean. It’s deeply relaxing and often described as profoundly nurturing, more of a full-body experience than a conventional massage. Kate brings a spiritual and embodied dimension to her Lomilomi practice that makes it particularly special. You’ll walk out feeling energised and reconnected.

What is lymphatic drainage massage and who is it for?

Manual lymphatic drainage is a gentle, specialised technique that stimulates the lymphatic system to support immune function, reduce swelling, and assist the body’s natural detoxification processes. It’s commonly used post-surgery (including cancer surgery), for lymphoedema, chronic fatigue, and general immune support. Natalia is trained in this modality and can advise on whether it’s appropriate for your situation.

What is oncology massage?

Oncology massage is specialist bodywork adapted for people living with or beyond cancer. It requires specific training because standard massage techniques need to be significantly modified to ensure safety. Natalia holds this training and brings both clinical skill and deep care to supporting clients through cancer treatment and recovery.

Can I get a private health rebate for massage?

It depends on your fund, your level of cover, and the modality. Remedial massage is the most commonly covered type under extras. Other modalities vary. We recommend checking with your insurer before booking. And don’t forget to ask specifically about the modality you’re interested in rather than just “massage.” This makes a difference!

What should I wear and what can I expect?

For most massage treatments you’ll be undressed to your comfort level and covered with a sheet or towel throughout. Your therapist will always work within your boundaries and check in with you about pressure and comfort. For womb massage and more ceremonially oriented sessions, your therapist will talk you through what to expect when you book. All sessions begin with a brief conversation about what you’re hoping to get from the treatment.

Do I need to do anything to prepare?

Arrive well hydrated, avoid a heavy meal immediately beforehand, and wear comfortable clothing you can easily change out of. For lymphatic drainage, oncology massage, and womb massage, your therapist may have specific preparation guidance. This will be communicated in your booking confirmation email.

What is your cancellation policy?

We require 24 business hours notice for cancellations. For Monday appointments, this means cancelling by Friday. Late cancellations will incur the full session fee, as this time has been reserved specifically for you.

You don’t have to do it alone.
